Happy Halloween everyone🎃
How was your week?
For me, I am quite satisfied with how the week went, despite some minor setbacks with work, the rest of the week as per my expectation and it was quite good.
Things that I did this week
Started re-reading Atomic Habits by James clear for the 2nd time and I am in love, I don’t want to give out much about it till I finish the book but I am not sure if I will be able to control my emotions, I might write a medium article or put out a tweet about it, actually you know what I won’t put out a tweet but multiple tweets starting tomorrow.
I don’t want to give out much but I will say that the book gave me back a lot of my values which I had dropped since I first read and implemented in 2019.
This week I went out for walks every day at 6:20 AM
How? you might ask.
And this is where some external help from a friend came in handy, so there is this small kid (18 Years old) who lives near my home and visits my place sometimes and so for some reason, he decided to go out for walks every day and he started coming to my home to wake me up and take me with him, which led to me waking up mid-sleep after he called me all of a sudden on Monday morning 6 AM, and then slowly I started waking up before his calls.
Don’t forget to check the ending of the blog for all the changes that I will be bringing to this format from next week.
So I implemented a bit of my mindset shift into sending cold emails this week and I am finally satisfied with my efforts this week.
I sent out 100+ emails this week but they were not personalized. They were all automated and I did not manually write every email and neither did I copy-paste, instead I used a tool called Apollo.io to send out all the emails.
Just like habits the goal with emailing is to get 1% better at it every day and so I will be making small changes and streamlining my process of sending out emails and also better personalizing them to get the most out of it, but what I get out of it won’t be my target, instead, it will just be to get better at it every day 🙂
Thoughts from the past week
Hey! October hasn’t ended yet technically so if I can publish this blog October 31, 2021 I will be saving myself from the hassle of recording and editing a podcast this week 😈

here's my 3 part theory..
Lmao I took way too many highlights from Atomic Habits this week and in the process I have almost by heart learned all these quotes from the book 🤓
I think this has to be one of the most important things that I noticed this time while reading, I see people very positively compared to almost everyone else around me, and previously I was failing to understand it but then I realized my perception of other humans has compounded over the years and so my current view is very very different from others around me.
Ok I just realized I gave away my plans of not oversharing from the book till I finish 🙂 Rip lmao

Did not watch any this week
So I finally watched the first two episodes of Dhindora by Bhubham Bham and as expected he did not disappoint.
But the show sometimes feels way too overloaded with humour like when there is any sad scene there are elements of humour injected almost immediately, idk, maybe that has been done to keep it consistent but I wouldn’t have minded a few serious scenes 👨⚕️

I installed it and started using it, its a bit laggy on my PC but I hope it gets better in its November update or I will have to buy a new PC 😤
Tech Tip 🧙♂️
Arrange your bookmarks inside folders in chrome 🤠 I recently saw a productivity video where all the bookmarks were placed nicely inside folders and I got tempted to try it out and so I will be doing it this week, you can join me too or die in the clutter of your bookmarks… your choice tbh.
Spotify isn’t giving me student discounts anymore :(
But worry not because youtube music got my back

The most annoying thing about yt music is that it repeats the same set of music again and again 😷 and so I ended up liking whatever it suggested because these are the only ones which it kept playing again and again.
Did not listen to any podcast again this week, since I wasn’t alone in the morning during my walks.

Poll of the week❎
Things I am excited about for the next week 🥅
I did a bit of journaling/brainstorming session last night and made some future plans for myself, in accordance with the type of person I want to become and I will be crafting my habits along those lines.
A small section from my brainstorming session yesterday
Things I want to be working on / Interested about— TRB (@teeaarbee) October 30, 2021
- SaaS tool(s)
- Business (Entrepreneurship)
- Art (Memes)
- Content creation (Blogs/Podcast/Twitter threads)
- Web 3.0 (Crypto/ Blockchain Tech)
- Productivity / Happiness (Neuroscience)
Starting from next week I will be tracking everything, hopefully in public, and I will be sharing it here, just like last year, but this time the format will be different and it will be much more atomic in a sense that it helps me improve just 1% every day.
This will also lead to changing the format of the Personal Highlight section of the blog and honestly, I am quite excited about it.
Quote from the week📃
Everything is an oversimplification. Reality is messy and complex.
The question is whether it is a useful simplification.
Know the limitations of an idea and you can apply it to great effect—despite the messiness of reality.” - James Clear
