Week 91 – Our first Web Dev Project

 ·  β˜• 5 min read

I am writing this on Thursday [4 days after it was supposed to go live] 😁

And honestly, this time, it wasn’t even that I was busy with work or something, even though that is also true, but not to an extent where I couldn’t have written the blog.

Then what happened?

To know that, read next week’s blog, which comes out in 3 days.

I would have written about it, but I wouldn’t have anything to write about next week [Avg. future thinker]

Personal Highlights

All my memories are of this week, and I can’t remember a lot from last week, so I will have to take the help of my to-do list and see what I did last week.

Ok, a quick look at my done list on notion [to-dos synced from todoist] and got all my memory back.

  • Journaling: same as usual did it everyday first thing in the morning

  • Morning Run

Slightly increased compared to the last few weeks 🀩

  • Reading: Continued reading spark

I want to start reading psychology of money because I want to control my spending habits, but I don’t feel like ditching the spark in between because it’s a great book.

  • Coding:

I finally completed the website building project that I was working on. I had to take the help of 2 friends [Anosher and Satendra] to finish it, and both are also members of Octalancer. So yeah, it’s officially Octalancer’s and my first web dev project.

Optimization and Organization

Not much progress was made in this because I was so busy with other high priority tasks.

Job Update

I had quite a packed week in terms of work responsibilities, not just from my job but also from personal freelance, octalancer project and family help. All in all, I spent a lot of time working last week, and maybe that has resulted in the slump this week 😩

I just gave spoilers for next week’s blog. 🀧

Business Updates

Daily calls with Ocus took a break last week after we could not get any replies from our first targets. So we got a bit sad/confused and were not able to get on calls much.

BUT on the flipside

Octalancer completed its first web dev project.

This is the site that we built btw [Might change depending on when you are reading this]

Thoughts from the past week

As I said, it was a hectic week. I did not get time to think about anything deliberately, but there were a lot of fragmented thoughts. Some of them were about the people who stay busy with their work and see others who are unemployed in a very negative light, and also at the same time complain about their work.

All these things could be changed if they were grateful about them getting the work.

But then again, this type of mindset is often preached by people at the top to keep their workers under control, so there is a weird situation here.

There is no conclusion to this unsettling thought, should we be happy with what we have, or should we demand more?

This plays in my head every time I am confused

I had tweeted out an opinion just for the blog’s sake but later deleted the tweet because it didn’t feel very authentic.

Movies πŸŽ₯

No Time To Die 2021

Was this movie trying to not be a James bond movie?

Totally did not expect the ending to be like this.

And I don’t know, even though the ending makes a lot of sense story-wise and character-wise. It does not make sense James bond wise 😫

I don’t have any ratings for it. I just watched it during my lunch over the course of the entire week and was still not able to finish it because of how busy the week was, but then on Sunday night, I decided to watch it till the end and finish it.

How was your week?🧐

Coming up next weekπŸ₯…

I just remembered I was supposed to write down why I was sad the week before last week, and now that I am not that sad, I didn’t give it much importance. I wonder if something similar will happen in next week’s blog.

“Good marketing can sell once, but only a good product can sell twice.

In the long run, your performance reverts to the value you provide.” - James clear
