Writing this on a Sunday evening, even after a tiring week 😮💨
Usually, I would have watched a movie or something, but I decided to finish the blog instead because I am not sure what tomorrow is going to look like. Usually, every time I procrastinate on a Sunday, the blog keeps getting delayed, so just to put an end to the endless loop of procrastination, I decided to write it now.
The beginning of the week was really great in terms of work zen balance.
I was able to get to a zero on my to-do list app two days in a row, but then as I got more work, I struggled with finishing my to-do list items regularly.
- Journaling: Made some small tweaks to my journal and made it much more organized and easy to read in the future.
Also was able to journal some thoughts this week,
Thoughts that wouldn’t have been captured if I did not have a journaling habit 😌
- Morning Run: Finally increased my distance 😤
Reading: I found myself struggling to read through ‘Getting things done,’ and so I decided to read something else and picked up a pdf on cold emailing, which I had saved in my kindle, and I was surprised by the speed and amount that I was able to read that.
After finishing that pdf, I decided to get back to reading ‘Getting things done’ and struggled again and then made the choice of saying bye to reading it for now as I switched to a different book.
The book which I am reading now is called Spark. It’s on exercise and has been sitting on my wish list since 2019, ever since Thomas frank recommended it in one of his videos.
Coding: I decided to start a new beta course in freecodecamp and was able to go through it quite easily.
Coding went well for the week except …. yesterday 😔
I got a lot of work from the office and was busy working on those the whole day and even night, and so I had totally forgotten about the fact that I had forgotten to practice coding yesterday and so …….
My 43 days streak of coding broke 😔😔😔
Optimization and Organization
I don’t remember what I optimized this week as I did not take any clear mental notes.
But I think I did some optimizing in my to-do list by deleting a few items which were just there in the list and I wasn’t doing them.
Like I said above got a lot of work, did most of them.
Oh shit! Yeh bhi karna tha?!
Thoughts from the past week
I realized that I am suffering from something called “bàofùxìng áoyè”
Don’t worry, it’s not an illness or I hope so …
It basically is when people delay going to bed early to do the things they wanted to in the day but could not do.
This does not happen to me every day because I go for morning runs but usually the days when I don’t go for a run I end up going to bed a bit late, and It isn’t something I am happy about.
So my goal now will be to optimize my time in a way that this revenge bedtime procrastination doesn’t happen to me.
By the way, I learned about this term from Matt D’avella’s email newsletter and it was one of those rare things that immediately clicked as soon as I read it.

Social Media updates
It’s more of an opinion, but anyway, I will share it here

Spiderman: No way home
So I decided to finally rewatch the latest spiderman movie.
And it did not, at all, feel like it 🤐
What I mean by “it” is the experience of watching the movie in the theatre with a live crowd.
Honestly, it was just something else and the best movie-watching experience that I have ever had in my entire life, and without the same audience’s cheers and shouts, the movie just feels very idk. It feels different.
Did not watch any but planning to watch peacemaker next week 😈
